VOYCE is Politely Rebellious Next Gen CIC’s youth-led programme, created for young people, by young people.
It provides a safe, empowering space where young people can build confidence, life skills, and real-world experience, while preparing for employment, further education, and future opportunities.
Through weekly sessions, VOYCE supports young people across Portsmouth and surrounding areas to gain free work experience, project-based work experience, and practical skills that strengthen CVs, support job searching, and build independence.
CREATED BY OUR YOUNG PEOPLE
Everything about VOYCE has been shaped by the young people involved; from the name, to the mission, to the projects themselves.
VOYCE stands for Voice of Youth for Confidence & Empowerment, a name chosen by the group to reflect exactly what the programme delivers:
- Confidence-building
- Leadership development
- Life skills for adulthood and employment
- Opportunities to gain real experience, not just qualifications
VOYCE is youth-led, youth-powered, and rooted in lived experience. Adults support the process, but young people lead the direction.

This is project-based work experience designed to prepare young people for the real world.
WHY VOYCE MATTERS
We believe real change starts with listening to young people, and equipping them with the tools they need to succeed. VOYCE was created to raise aspirations, build confidence and independence, and support job readiness and employability. The programme also focuses on developing life skills that last beyond the sessions, giving young people the power to shape their own futures.
VOYCE is designed to support young people who may feel unsure about work, education, or next steps, helping them move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose. By providing practical guidance alongside empowerment, VOYCE enables participants to make meaningful progress in both personal and professional development.
