KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

Equipping Adults to Better Support Young People.

Knowledge Is Power is a preventative education programme delivered by Politely Rebellious Next Gen CIC, designed to equip teachers, parents, carers, senior leaders, and professionals with the knowledge, confidence, and tools to better support young people.

We believe that when the adults around young people are informed, supported, and connected, young people are safer, more resilient, and better able to thrive.

WHY IT MATTERS?

Young people are navigating increasingly complex challenges, from youth violence and exploitation to mental health pressures, online harms, and social inequality. Those supporting them often want to help but may feel underprepared or unsure where to turn.

Knowledge Is Power bridges that gap by providing clear, practical, and accessible sessions that empower adults to recognise risk, respond appropriately, and signpost effectively.

SESSIONS CAN INVOLVE:

  • Awareness & Prevention

    • Understanding youth violence, exploitation, and county lines
    • Recognising early warning signs and risk factors
    • Exploring the impact of trauma, exclusion, and social pressures
  • Practical Guidance

    • How to have safe, effective conversations with young people
    • What to do if you’re concerned about a young person
    • When and how to escalate concerns appropriately
  • Support & Signposting

    • Access to trusted external services and helplines
    • Guidance on local and national support networks
    • Strengthening links between schools, families, and community services
